Loose-Leaf Corporation and the Garden State Rebels™ began in June 2008. We have played three complete seasons, two of those in the (EBA) Eastern Basketball Alliance, and our franchise recently switched this pasted year, to the (ACPBL) Atlantic Coast Professional Basketball League arguably one of the “Best” professional basketball leagues in America. Since that time we have had the great pleasure and opportunity spend time and work with over 2,000 New Jersey inner city children, who will look to our athletes for guidance and mentorship. We will continue to assist these children by being living examples of success or REBELS. Recognized Examples of Basketball Excellence in Life Scenarios.
One may ask, what is the difference between taking my son or daughter to a NBA New Jersey Nets game versus a ACPBL Garden State Rebels game? Simple, while many full-time professional athletes are GREAT people and mentors they simply do not have the time to shape the lives of children on the necessary day-to-day basis required to create a lifelong positive path. YES, the ACPBL is a professional league, games are held once per week on Saturday or Sunday evenings. Our competitors’ pay wages to their athletes and are for profit organizations. Our Garden State Rebels athletes volunteer their athletic services to the Newark/New Jersey community and children, further exemplifying their roles to the lives we mentor. We are blessed to have each member of our staff. We will compete and demonstrate proper professional athletic conduct, while mentoring and assisting children. If we can affect the life of just one child, it has been well worth our community efforts.
